New Zealand welcomes individuals with skills, qualifications, and experience. Most students completing a valid course in New Zealand are eligible for a Graduate Job Search Visa/Permit for 12 months. This visa allows students to work full time in a job relevant to their completed course. Upon securing a job, they can apply for a work permit extension (generally for 2 years) or have enough points to apply for permanent residency. Bonus points are awarded under the general skills category, considering factors such as age, qualifications, work experience, NZ qualifications, work experience under the skill shortage list, and sponsorship by blood relatives who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
